Hallie Jo Carvajal
Hallie Jo Carvajal began her classical ballet training at the age of eight under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge, Heather Gray, and Brittnee Squires at Jacqueline’s School of Ballet. By the age of twelve, she was invited to join Utah Metropolitan Ballet II, where she performed in works by Heather Gray, Brittnee Squires, and Ariel Wright. Some of her favorite pieces include On Cue, Passages, La Fille, Cortex, and Revolve.

From 2017 to 2022, Hallie Jo consistently placed in the top three at the Youth America Grand Prix (Salt Lake City semi-finals) in both Classical and Contemporary variations, earning invitations to the YAGP Finals each year and competing in the final round in 2021. She also placed in the top 12 at the World Ballet Competition in both 2017 and 2019. Her training has been further enriched through scholarships to prestigious summer intensive programs, including The School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Jacqueline’s School of Ballet.

Hallie Jo joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet as an apprentice in 2020 and was promoted to Artist in 2022. Since 2023, she has performed as a Principal Artist, with notable roles including Dorothy in the original cast of Jacqueline’s Wizard of Oz, Snow White, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, and Wendy in Peter Pan.

She is honored to continue her journey with Utah Metropolitan Ballet and looks forward to another exciting season with the company.
